Child Dedication
Child Dedication is a wonderful moment in which parents make a public statement of faith to raise their child under God’s grace and wisdom. We welcome you to invite your family to one of our child dedication events to celebrate this important step in the life of your family. Our pastors are so honored to pray for you as you take responsibility for the spiritual development of your child. We look forward to the day when all of your hard work, our partnership with you, and the investment from leaders and family members culminates in your child choosing to be Born-Again, starting a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and choosing to be publicly water-baptized. We dedicate children from birth – 5 years old. Please select your campus to find the next Child Dedication event and register your family.
Follow Jesus
The decision to choose Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior is the most important decision you could ever make! We are thrilled that your child’s spiritual journey has led to this moment. We encourage you to take your time with this conversation to make sure your child truly understands the decision they’re making, while still keeping an atmosphere of joy and celebration at the decision they’ve chosen to make. Here are a few questions you can ask to help walk your child through these conversations:
- Who is Jesus? Jesus is God’s son, and He IS God. (John 1:1-3, John 1:14, Matthew 3:17)
- What did Jesus come to the earth to do for you? Jesus came to live perfectly, to die on the cross for all of my sins, and to defeat sin and death by coming back to life. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, John 3:16-17)
- What do you need to do to begin a relationship with Jesus?
- Admit that I’ve sinned and that I need to ask God’s forgiveness. (Romans 3:23)
- Believe that Jesus died for my sin so that God can forgive me completely. (Romans 10:9)
- Confess that Jesus is my Lord, he’s the boss in my life and I’ll live how he tells me to live. (John 14:23)
- What does it mean to be Born-Again? Those are the words that Jesus used when he talked about being ‘saved’, or beginning a relationship with God. It means that the ‘old me’ that was full of sin is gone forever, and the ‘new me’ that is full of God’s spirit will live forever with Jesus. (John 3:3 & 5)
- Would you like to pray with me to be Born-Again and begin my relationship with Jesus? Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for living a perfect life and dying on the cross for my sin. I believe that you are God’s son and that you came back to life to defeat sin and death for me. I admit that I’ve sinned and done things that I’m not supposed to. I need your grace and mercy, God please forgive me for all of my sins. I believe that Jesus came to this earth and died for my sin so that I could have forgiveness from God. And I confess today that Jesus is in charge of my life. I’ll live how he wants me to live from this day forward. God fill me with wisdom and be with me at all times so that I can live for you every single day of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
Water Baptism
The decision to go public with your faith by being water baptized is one of the most exciting parts of your new journey with God! Children who are 6 years old and over are welcome to join our church for one of our water baptism events, provided that they have made the decision to follow Jesus and are choosing to be water baptized on their own accord. Select your campus to find the next Water Baptism event and register your child, and download the guide below to help you decide if Water Baptism is the right next step for your child!

Serve Others
For Adults, we have a variety of positions within our team that you can choose from to begin making a difference in the next generation of Jesus-Followers. These range from production and media elements, small groups with children, caring for children in our Nursery and Preschool spaces, checking in families before the service, and preparing activities during the week. Contact your campus to find out where to begin your journey to Make a Difference!
For Kids, we are developing a serving opportunity to give children the chance to give back and serve their neighbors. Stay connected to our social media pages, @OSCKidsMinistry, for more details about the launch of these opportunities.
